I was watching the One Show on BBC1 last night and there was a report on the estimated 150,000 UK expats leaving Spain to return to the UK since 2016. The reason given was that since Brexit the attitude of the locals had turned to outright hostile. One couple had lived in Spain for 20 years and had 2 young sons born and at school there. They had run their own English language school but business had dried up. Another older lady had also lived in Spain in a rented flat overlooking the sea was returning to Scotland after 30 years.

Sadly its a ready excuse now if something is not right blame it on Brexit, nothing what so ever to do with health costs or the euro against the pound. Of course not, lets take the BBCs attitude and blame it on Brexit.

.....so really the locals are hostile because of "health costs or the euro against the pound"...?
Yes, I can understand your reasoning.....

You have to take the statement with a small helping of salt, because having travelled in many places in Europe( before Brexit) seeing slogans on wall saying Brits go home. What I said and stand by is that the media and especially the BBC are looking for items of "news" to hammer home to all the "Illiterate and ignorant" people who voted for Brexit just how wrong we were.
