Try Power on /Off to reset, no good then check that the float valve in tank is working (lift out of tank, hold vertically then horizontally , ball within should move) if all fails Orhan the plumber English speaking plumber Orhan 0533 8775330

You say that there is 40 bar coming into house. Seems awfully high! 40 bar= 580psi!

No 35 psi which equates to 2.4 bar

It would appear rather than low pressure now it is no pressure! Our meter is showing no bar and had to turn the pump back on so I am assuming that the mains water is indeed off.

Re: Low water pressure in catakoy
Most pumps now use a electronic pressure controller. If the pressure is low the pump will attempt to run providing that as mentioned , the float switch in your water tank is upright and is obviously not faulty. If the controller does not see the pressure going up it will stop the pump to protect it. On the front face of the controller there are three lights. If the float switch is ok the controller should have a supply and the top light (power on) should be lit. If the pump has been stopped because of not making pressure the "failure" light would probably be on. Below the bottom " light ( pump running) is a red restart button. If the pump is not faulty or the controller, pressing it should cause the pump to run but if it does not make pressure it will stop. If the pump does this it would indicate the pump has no water in it, something that can happen if your tank is an underground one. If the pump makes a humming noise, not running and making pressure it would most likely be a faulty capacitor in the motor of the pump.

Re: Low water pressure in catakoy
We are on mains here bypassing the pump but the pump is still in the system. The gauge where the mains comes in is showing 0 bar. I turned the pump back on and it has pumped water upto the roof tank so we have water but only from our storage and not the mains. Been like it for a day or two now but yesterday it was a1 bar and today 0.

A pressure gauge on .the incoming water supply is handy, but better still install into the incoming pipe preferable before the meter if it is a prepaid electronic one a tee fitting with a valve, This is an easy of checking if it is a loss of incoming water or a lack of credit on the meter.
