Money donations to sos children’s village

Hi, just to make people aware of what we believe is a scam. My daughter who thought she was paying a one off payment through turkcell to the sos children’s village has been charged for the last 3 months. when she has asked turkcell why it was being taken as she was told it would be a one off payment she was told she couldn’t cancel any more payments going through as she didn’t have her passport on her and would need to go in with her passport to do this. When she was first approached outside Lemar I believe it was she offered a cash donation but the person told her it could only be done by turkcell in a one off payment as they were unable to take cash, it wasn’t until she received a much larger bill than usual and her phone was disconnected due to charges also being put on, that she realised these payments were being taken out every month. So, just to let people know to be aware of this, thanks for reading.

Its my experience NEVER EVER sign anything when approached outside supermarkets here. I was caught in a similar sort of scam couple of years ago, (again outside Lemar) despite the "student" showing me all sorts of so called authorisations and official paper work.
