So sad and on top of the family of 5, 4 of whom drowned near Kaplica yesterday. The sea is a dangerous place if not respected. So sad for the surviving 12 year old boy.

So sad about these tragedies. I read about the family this morning on Facebook from Kyrenia Post. Absolutely awful.

"The sea is a dangerous place if not respected"

Especially with the windy weather of late.

So very sad for the family and this latest victim. How life can change in the blink of an eye.

From news page -

"Rough Seas at the Weekend

Strong winds will whip up rough seas at the weekend, Met Office specialist Fehmi Oktay has warned.

The air will be hot and humid and a strong wind will blow from the south and west, he said.

He warned that visitors to the coast should beware of the sea state. Oktay added that UV radiation is also very high and people should remain in the shade at the hottest times of the day."

What a shame...

Aged 78.

The history that she's lived through, only to end up dead in the sea at Lapta.

Thanks, Crumpy.
