Price of Meals out
Hi
We are coming out on Sunday to stay in Lapta. This is our first visit for 2 years. What is the typical price for a main meal, at say the Blue Song or Silver Rocks? Last time we came the TL was much stronger against the pound. Also how much is it to park in the main car park in Kyrenia ?

At Silver Rocks the average is around 50TL. Not sure about Blue Song as haven't been there in a while.

Road House noisy and near busy road. Our usual, normal meal for two at Blue Song including drinks, two courses is about 150tl. Silver Rocks a little more. Some of the others further up the road have virtually doubled the cost of food and drink, and can be packed with people visiting from the other side or/and " hurray Henries" from this side.

Something else to consider. Do you want to be warbled at or not? We don't, so you have to be careful of the evenings you go. I THINK you are safe with Silver Rocks if you don't like loud music to accompany your meal.

We ate at Calamari last night, it was delicious! Beef stroganoff 100TL, Steak with pepper sauce 110TL, Chicken with prawns 70TL. This includes a few mezes with bread rolls, chips, rice, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, coffee and brandy. Great location and attentive staff.

In terms of sterling I don't think you will notice much difference in the cost.

Yes it is off the busy road but would not say it is noisy unless they have entertainment on. They have spent a lot of money making the place modern. It is clean, has friendly staff and serves great food. Nothing against the Blue Song but isn't it also accessed from the same busy road?

Re: Price of Meals out
We always choose quality over quantity and prefer to eat our main meal at lunch time.
It will mean that the Silver Rocks has been the yardstick by which we judge others, we do not need to be entertained by loud music or quiz nights.
Each to their own, naturally.

We have just returned from our week in Lapta and were amazed at the price in the restaurants. We had a great meal with starters at the Silver Rocks and it cost less than £26. We also went to the Blue Song which was equally good value for an excellent meal. How do they do it?
