Turkish Airlines very popular in ‘Which?’ survey
Comments (0)
Turkish Airlines came second in popularity in a survey of air passengers on short-haul trips compiled by ‘Which?’ magazine. With a score of 78%, points were awarded for baggage allowance, boarding arrangements, seat allocation, and food and drinks.
Unsurprisingly, Ryanair came last out of 16 contenders with only 34% in favour of the airline. Many passengers complained about the pricing structure which included extras that increased the overall cost of travel.
Ryanair is the least popular short-haul airline, according to a survey that gave the carrier its lowest approval rating ever. The survey was taken over a period of 12 months up to October.
Swiss was the most popular short-haul airline and achieved 82% popularity vote and 5 stars on some of the categories.
Lufthansa came third, Aer Lingus fourth, and KLM were fifth.
Turkish Airlines was the only airline to be awarded 3 stars in the food and drink category.

Re: Turkish airlines
Ryanair is still the most popular and used airline for short haul. I personally don't use it.
I have used Turkish Airlines and found them to be average for the price they charge.

Re: Turkish airlines
I refuse to use Ryanair on every count owing to underhanded charges but most of all that horrible little man who acts as spokeperson can't even be bothered to log name.

Re: Turkish airlines
belle,
The survey states that Ryanair is the LEAST popular short haul airline, again. They may be the best in terms of usage capacity and price but that does not relate to quality and service.

I understand what you are saying, this was on Sky news this morning and the guy who was talking about the survey said it was not a proper survey as who flies swissair or turkish airlines in the UK to go short haul.........noone.

Re: Turkish airlines
Which compile some of the best surveys available, obviously the person on Sky had a biased point of view as Turkish come out top of the heap on other "surveys" as well. Similarly Ryanair usually come at or near the bottom. Have flown Ryanair and was very happy with what we got for our money.

KLM has my vote, although Turkish come a close second.

Looked on their website and Ercan is not listed as a destination airport from Stanstead.

Re: Turkish airlines
Apparently they dont come here direct you have to make a connection in Turkey my friends daughter did it last year her plane was late arriving she missed the connecting one and waited 8 hours to get to Ercan. So now with Atlas stopping their flights from Stanstead we have hobsons choice.
