Me and my wife have been ( professional) Foster parents for best part of 25 years back in the UK. We now live here in TRNC and kinda miss it.
We are both Police checked so if anyone needs their kids looking after on a regular basis please get in touch. We are based near to Catalkoy.
Or if anyone knows of any kind of similar thing here on a voluntary basis that would be great.

Re: Foster parents
There are special schools who will bite your hands off if you were to volunteer. Karakum Special School, The Leonard Cheshire home (I'm pretty sure they have younger people as well as adults) The SOS childrens villages in Girne and Lefkosia just to mention a few.

Re: Foster parents
Sorry but unless they have changed in the last couple of years Cheshire Homes run a day care centre for adults over 18 years of age. Sometimes their clients take their children with them to occupational therapy sessions and in the best traditions of Cyprus they have bent the rules kindly to enable youngsters to have medical/physiotherapy assistance from their volunteers and on one occasion they used their transport to get a paralysed young teenager to university classes, but I very much doubt if their constitution allows anything like formal child care.
However they always need f volunteers and their clients greet visitors with excitement so you might like to try your hand at adopting a grandparent instead! A little knowledge of Turkish is an advantage but some of the volunteers speak English and last time I visited a London Turkish client was delighted to have someone to talk English with.
Please feel free to send me a pm if you would like an introduction or more details
