Re: British Airways Strike
I heard yesterday & was panicking, fortunately for me my dates are missed but I feel for those caught out.
Totally selfish & greedy, on the pilots behalf imo

Same here Cally! Unfortunately for those affected it will be very expensive to get a replacement flight at such short notice..Easyjet have already increased their prices by over £100 per person one way, for the strike dates and either side too.

Cally.
Please do not believe all you read in the popular press ie the Daily Mail etc.
I have been reliably informed there is only a handful of senior BA pilots on the big salaries. £250k +
A friend of mine his son is a BA captain (ex EasyJet). His son was flying ironically to Larnaca a few weeks ago. His first officer also an ex EasyJet pilot compared their like for like salaries. They calculated there was a £100k like for like difference in their joint current salary in favour of EJ.
EJ have no seniority scales BA do. It is well documented when BA was on its knees a few years back all the pilots took a haircut in salary, hours worked etc to keep the company afloat.
BA made £2billion profit last year. Currently, their profit for the first 6 months of this year is in excess of £1.8 billion. So in my book, it is now pay back time. Hopefully, the strike will be called off.

Re: British Airways Strike
Is BA not now owned by a Spanish company? Is it a pre-Brexit commercial plot to collapse that element of their holdings?
