Gas permit renewal via bank?

Hi

Does anyone know please whether it is possible to pay the gas tank permit renewal in January via direct debit or are the District Office still in the dark days before the internet was invented?

I do not know the answer to your question, but I would guess that you can't pay by direct debit. We love our annual trip to the gas permit office to renew our permit, all you need to take is the previous year's permit I believe. If you can't do it yourself surely someone can do it for you?

We're not here in January so have to rely on someone else to do renewal..not sure our friend views the process with the same enthusiasm as frontalman, often having to make more than one visit as they haven't worked out the cost yet!
Just trying to save some hassle but not possible it seems!
