Küçük would seem desperate to form a coalition

With the possibility of Kaşif and his supporters splitting the UBP in two, it would seem that İrsen Küçük is rather desperate to form a coalition with whichever party will support him.

In this report that came out yesterday (Dec 29th), http://www.gundemkibris.com/yeni-yila-y ... 47696h.htm , there was talk of a coalition with the CTP, the main opposition party. The two parties had even decided the ministers for the cabinet ... and the list can be seen in the link - not surprisingly though , there is no mention of Ahmet Kaşif in that list

Today (Dec 30th) however, according to http://www.gundemkibris.com/anlastilar- ... 47715h.htm (amongst other reports) it seems the UBP’s General Secretary, Fuat Namsoy (acting on behalf of Küçük) is very close to agreeing terms for a coalition with the DGP and ÖRP parties.

My guess is that, seeing as many of the UBP’s decisions are actually made in Ankara, Erdoğan, in his little chat with Küçük tomorrow might well persuade the embattled UBP leader to step down ... which might make talk of such coalitions unnecessary.

As Cyprusishome has said before – this lot couldn’t even run a Parish Council

Looks like Kucuk will make a deal with the devil to stay on as PM, a post he stated that he never wanted initially. One wonders what made him change his mind? Again the back of the proverbial stamp will be sufficient for answer.
I believe the majority of voters will go along with iancrumpys statement above regarding his return home from Ankara. Get the flags out!!!!

Apparently Küçük is still at the helm, but the ship would seem to be veering all over the place.
In a further development, UBP party officials in both Lefkoşa and Mağusa have voted against the coalition with the DGP and ÖRP.
