Less than 6 months left on UK passport

Was wanting to book some flights from Ercan to Stansted return for Christmas. My husbands British passport expires on 5th May 2020 and my daughters British passport expires 4th June 2020. Would anyone be able to tell me if we will be able to travel on these or will I need to renew them? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you are travelling TO the UK on a UK passport, there should not be any restriction.

You would probably need to renew the passports before returning to TRNC though!

Turkey requires that you have 6 or more months on your passport on arrival so it may be a problem as you will have to touch down in Turkey. Imagine the scenario where you miss your onward flight, you probably wouldn't be allowed to leave the airport. Probably best checking with whichever airline you plan to travel with. In UK they will turn you away at the departure airport if you haven't got 6 months+ if you are travelling to Turkey, I witnessed this at Bristol Airport.

Personally, I would go ahead as soon as possible if my passport was up for renewal after 31/10/19, but that’s me.
