As of Janauary 1st, the cost of permits and licenses have increased by between 4 and 6%.

You can see lots of figures on the links, but for example ;

- if you wish to extend your residence permit by (up to) 12 months you will now be required to pay 227TL ... up from 216 TL
- if you wish to extend your work permit by (up to) 12 months, it will cost you (or your employer) 278 TL ... up from 265 TL
- if you wish to extend your driving license for a further two years it will set you back 185 TL ... up from 176 TL

There are also 4 to 6% increases in (amongst other things) road tax, alcohol licenses, and permits to set up a business.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Hi Billywiz,
It's the same charges as for the extension, but I have to warn you Billywiz, it's not easy to get a work permit - the Ministry of Employment (or Çalışma Bakanlığı) normally only grants them to people for doing jobs they consider the locals unable to do.
