Some of you may or maybe not have contract phones if so no registration required, however if you have pay as you go then you could be in for a long haul, that is if you register at the two main Turcell outlets in Girne, some queuing for up to 2hrs.

I went today to a shop across from China Bazaar Turcell agent no one in the shop other than a girl who was at the desk,I asked if she was able to register both my wife and my phone,to my surprise she said yes, doe and dusted within 10mins,

Don't forget your passport !

I hope this post will save time and frustration after the residency saga.

This subject has been aired on other threads lately and I can only reiterate as I have before, I just don't understand why people go to the two main outlets in Girne for anything, its always the same and there are so many other places to go, it just seems bonkers to me. Waiting two hours, crackers!!!! Thankfully you had the sense to go elsewhere and are done and dusted.

I registered my PAYG 'phone in the Turkcell shop near the British Military Cemetery in Girne earlier this week. Helpful man with excellent English. In and out in 10 minutes. I didn't even need to collect a serving number having asked the question, "where do I do it?"
