Tax office girne winter opening hours?

Does anyone know if the girne tax office is open on Jan 2nd? Please

2nd January is not a public holiday in TRNC so they should be but I wouldn't swear on it... Below are the office hours for driving licences but I think they apply for all counter services.
It shows that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are the same but Thursday (Perşembe) hours are different.

Been today to pay for road tax. Was told that road tax department is closed until Monday.

Yes, they will not be issuing road tax until after 6th January.
Apparently a new system is being introduced which will phase out 'hand written' tax discs, and a printed plastic one introduced (should be interesting).

I think that a price increase is also on the cards...!
