Driving Licence renewal

Thought I knew all there was to know about this, but not sure now and hoping to go this morning. Can I use last years passport size photos. Have checked with my honest critic who reckons there is no change. Plus will they take plastic as payment.

You get a ticket just inside the door by the desks, we then went round to the driving licence desk, only one person in front of us.

They will tell you but 3-4 weeks. When collecting you don't need to take a ticket, just go to the desk beside the ticket machine(on right hand side as you go in the door to main tax office, as stated above) we showed our receipts and signed for the licences. We stood with a ticket for about 10 minutes before I spotted the sign

Went this morning. For Car Tax it was mayhem and people were waiting for heaven only knows how long. For renewal of Driving Licences we took our tickets and had to wait about 15 minutes. Sadly, the very apologetic lady said the photographs were a fraction too large and she couldn't accept them. So it will be back again first thing tomorrow with the correct size.
