Regarding receipt of cards from UK you have to be patient. I received Xmas cards posted in UK in Mid December at the end of January here!

I would always use recorded/registered postage to send anything from here.

Sorry, can't help.
I was up at Esentepe Post Office yesterday, lots of mail/cards sitting on their counter. No PO BOX numbers on them. All for Esentepe area. Anyone from this area, without a PO Box, should pop in and check for mail.

Christmas is here again. Received cards this week, posted in UK in and around 12th December last year, all with two pound 50 stamps on and two with our Post Code as well. You certainly have to have patience. I contacted the people in UK immediately, just to let them know they haven't wasted the cost of card and expensive postage!!

I registered 2 letters on 7 January to the UK. Track and trace show letters are today still in Turkey. I went to Karaoğlanoğlu post office today and asked them to check on their system and it shows they were delivered to the UK on 24 January. I did send copies with people going to the UK last week in case recipients didnt receive originals.

Hubby didn't get his pension in February - phoned pensions office to be told letter with life certificate had been sent in November and another at beginning of February. Neither have arrived. Was told a form would be e-mailed to him, but it took two more phone calls before that happened.

Have just discovered that I have lost out on quite a lot of dosh because I was sent paperwork during mid November regarding a share option. My signature was required (fax not good enough) and because I couldn't get forms back in time I've lost out.

The Dipkarpaz post office has now got an electric car, supposedly to deliver post, but the post master just uses it to go to work and back. There used to be a postman, he retired more than 5 years ago and was never replaced. You either have to ask if there is post or like me, my friend's husband is friends with the post master and so he gives the mail to him. He does sometimes forget to deliver straight away. One of my Christmas card from England was sent 11th December. It arrived in Lefkosa 27.12.2019 - stamped - It arrived in Famagusta 08.01.20210 - stamped - it arrived in Dipkarpaz 16.01.2020 - stamped - my house 21.01.2020. At least I got it!!!
What happed to all the sacks of post that postman stole a couple of years or so. They said the post would be delivered once the court case was finished. Some mail for us must have been in there.................

I was also up at Esentepe "Clacks" office last week and there were loads of letters from HMRC for ex-pats sitting on the counter. Some had been there a while.
