Just went for our daily constitutional on the walkway and at the Silver Rocks and Lapta strip end they have put earth barriers up to stop cars parking up.
Obviously all that fresh air and bracing sea breezes are bad for us.
I think it is because the walkway has been pretty busy and crowded over the last week or so. People were not adhering to advice to either stay in doors and self isolate or ensure that they social distancing themselves from others whilst out walking.
Therefore if the public can not follow simple guidelines and advice then more harsher measures have to be used in an attempt to make them understand.
It’s happening in the U.K. and rightly so. I am not saying that everyone falls into the category of not following best advice but there are those that refuse to comply. They are the ones who will ensure that this virus hangs around for longer than it should.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain
I get the point you're making but when we go the walkway is usually pretty empty; and anyway all the measures are undermined when the students in Riverside can apparently just walk out and disappear. (According to today's TC papers) Which is daft because when they're found presumably those who abetted them will also have to go into quarantine.
