Thatch

On my travels I have noticed various buildings that have been roofed in what seems to look like thatch. Does anybody know the company(‘s) that do this type of roofing? Thanks in advance for any info.

Thatch, a well-known fire hazard in cooler climates.... that seems a bit mental given the frequent use of BBQs and other dangers here..

I agree Groucho but it is here and would just like to know where it can be obtained from.

The so-called fire retardant stuff in the UK is not as retardant as not using thatch at all... don't get me wrong I love a nice tidy thatch as much as the next man (fnarr fnarr). But that is in the UK - here with the blisteringly high temperatures and the propensity for lighting fires at the drop of a hat, it does not bear thinking about.
