To be fair Trump who is the least articulate president I can ever remember is never going to stack up well against Obama who was the most eloquent president I can remember.
Obama could explain nonsense and make it seem viable.
I guess Trump is half listening, as he isn't a details man, to various theories from scientific advisors and not making a good job of explaining them.

On that subject I'm sure Fleming would have had a tricky job explaining how great penicillin is to to the man in the street.

I have no problem with Trump using his abilities to suggest things to doctors to consider trying. It is not like he has no 'access'. Behind the scenes. To use a press conference where the supposed aim is to inform the public to make such 'musing' public is to me beyond irresponsible and stupid. And scary.

I think anyone who listened and seriously thought he was suggesting people inject themselves with bleach might be those who insist that children’s superman capes need to have the warning ‘this cape doesn’t allow you to fly on it.’

To be fair the voters weren’t given much of a choice with Hilary as the alternative.
As for idiots thinking he is instructing them to inject bleach I think it is more a case of opponents deliberately misunderstanding an admittedly inarticulate man for political capital. If there are people who genuinely think it is advisable to inject bleach then so be it, I’m a great believer in Darwinism, if you are that stupid you are going to kill yourself somehow.

Ironically I actually think him being as he is might actually be a positive in world affairs. It seems the world treads very lightly around Kim Jung Un as they did around Hitler because they aren’t too sure what he might be capable of. Who is to say that Kim Jung Un hasn’t calmed down considerably because he is a little concerned with what Trump might be capable of? How often have we seen dictators ride roughshod over statesmen? Often the best person to stop a bully is another bully.

I do not see this as being an issue of people exploiting an inarticulate president for political capital. I see it as being an issue of a president with so much ego and belief that he has a superior great brain on any subject that it leads him to think 'showing' that in a press briefing that is supposed to be about government imparting useful information is a good idea, for him and the people when in fact it is just plain dangerous in so many ways and not just to those who might be 'darwinainly stupid'.

It sounded to me that he was more fumbling around and airing potential help in a spectacularly inarticulate way.
Personally I’d have said when we have a cure I’ll f#%$ing tell you until then don’t keep asking me but rest assured we are looking into every eventuality end of bulletin. But then I don’t have the polish to run for office although Trump does give me hope.
