A little poser for football fans
If you was a football manager and given the task of building a team to challenge for titles and trophies. And you could pick just ONE player from Ireland/ Scotland/Wales and England money no object who would be the player for you to build your team around? Mine would be Roy Keane why because he does not lose he as no fear.

Great player but Man United had won the title the year before he signed and kept winning it after he left until Sir Alex pulled the pin so you could say he enhanced the team rather than transformed it.topten wrote: ↑Wed 29 Apr 2020 10:33 amIf you was a football manager and given the task of building a team to challenge for titles and trophies. I think a better case could be put for Vieira tbh and I'm a Spurs fan.
Arsenal hadn't won anything for a few years before he arrived and didn't win anything for several years after he left.

Martin Peters, Geoff Hurst and Bobby Moore and used to dominate that 15th place in the First Division.BILLYBONDZ wrote: ↑Wed 29 Apr 2020 12:00 pmOI.OI.......top ten........are you still sniffing glue.......you hated Roy Keane, you once told me........

Half my mates were West Ham supporters so we used to go alternate weeks so seen an awful lot of games at Upton Park and whilst I don't believe in having a second team I have a lot of time for West Ham actually.
Was more pointing out what a bloody poor manager Ron Greenwood was tbh.
With Hurst, Moore, Peters, Brooking and Bonds and you were fighting relegation every season?
And then gets appointed England manager because he won the FA Cup and CWC 13-14 years earlier?
England then did sod all for 5 years, amazing really!

The Giant frame of John Charles.....one of the greatest strikers plus one of the greatest centre half. Still a True Legend at every club he played for including Juventus,Leeds and Cardiff City.
