Stray Cat........... Flea Infestation ???

Hello All,

A stray cat we feed is constantly scratching, he has red raw skin because of this. He doesn't come too near to us, so we wouldn't be able to put any treatment on him. We presume it's a flea infestation ?!?

Please would anyone know if there is a liquid or powder we could add to his food which would kill fleas / tics etc.

Garlic powder - but you need to start off with a minute amount until the cat gets used to it!

I guess the only humane way would be to use a humane cat trap and safely treat the cat once inside?

Yeah, years ago in UK, I got the advice about garlic from a vet!

Don’t know if you’d get them here, but available in the UK. Perhaps there’s an alternative brand here with the same base ingredients. Although a word of caution, the vets here often say you can give drugs for dogs to cats, that is not always the case which is why there are two types produced. However if the manufacturer says it’s ok, it should be.
