South open to tourists June 15

Cyprus will be ready reopen its doors to tourists from June 15 once the protocols for tourism are implemented, the Chairman of the House commerce committee said on Tuesday.

Cyprus hopes to recoup around 30 per cent of last year’s arrival numbers.

I love the quote "Cyprus is the safest country in the Med" according to the WHO. Yes we know the TRNC is, not sure I agree with the word Cyprus. I also notice they are going to target the Nordic countries and Germany but not UK, as they are ahead of the curve recovery wise. No mention of the border crossings?

The U.K. government is reviewing the quarantine period every 3 weeks.
Also it has not discussed travel yet in its plans, not expected until about beginning of July.

Still trying to get a plan on how to get the children back to school.

According to an article in today's Daily Mail, Greece has offered to waive the 14 day quarantine period for British tourists if the UK does the same for Greeks. Tui are restarting holidays from June 14.

All Tui holidays are cancelled on or before11th June 2020. They have been doing this on a month by month basis out of UK.

The chances of TUI giving out holidays from June 14th are quite slim. It’s a wish list on behalf of the travel industry.
