Let’s see if all 350 are now put into quarantine.

I know it won’t happen but if we all cancelled any restaurant/bar bookings, doctors appointments and anything else that involves going out any spending money that was not part of the original lockdown rules, perhaps those business owners may put pressure on those high up and force the issue.

All those repatriated Brits went through a load of hoops and a mainland Turk, who left Turkey with a POSITIVE test and was allowed to travel and possibly infect 350+ coming to the TRNC, shows exactly who can be trusted.

Thankfully the officers on duty when the ship docked here were on the ball.

Now if the TRNC authorities cancelled all ships from Turkey, because of this, the ships owners cannot blame anyone but their own authorities.

So am I reading this right. The passengers are being tested, then boarding and leaving Turkey before the results are known?
Or did the passenger conceal the result and get on the ship anyway? It seems from the report that the two were detected because
they were showing symptoms of fever. I bet those passengers from the UK repatriation flight, currently stuck in quarantine even after testing negative are not impressed.

Someone posted the message below that was originally in Turkish.

Decide for yourself.

Mistakes that speak as true:
There were 350 people on the ship: wrong
There were 19 (15-17) people on the ship, some of them are soldiers: right
The Coming Turkish citizen, how did it come: wrong
Turkish citizen has been in treatment abroad for 15 days, came to his country: right
Coming passenger announced positive is test: wrong
A quick test was done in Mersin, negative: right
He said "I am positive" he said; wrong
" I have fever, my quick test is negative, I was in the hospital. Just in case you give me a is, I don't have a fever he said: true
Ha; I don't know where minister ali battery said " positive...
Currently, according to the decision of the ministers of ministers, all passengers are already safe...
The is test is being done to the interested mother; the result will be announced by the ministry tonight...

Story now changed.

She was positive. Now negative. She is a TRNC citizen. She was one of 19 on the boat.

Don’t panic Mr Mannerring. Or...

Are they just reacting?

Or is she here regarding the Lapta Marina/ST Hilarion Cable Car/Road Tunnel through the mountain?

How come that people coming in by Plane have to be quarantined, but coming in by ferry you don't.
Surely all passengers should be going into quarantine under current rules?

I've completely lost the plot. Cyprium News say that 'she' arrived with a child and was tested, found positive before she left Turkey.
Then later even though she was saying that she was positive, another test found her negative. LGC News say that 'she'
was actually a 'he' with a child, and was found positive for Covid 19. Now we have a cruise liner quarantined in Girne harbour with a
passenger complaining of a fever being sent to the hospital.

Better buy some more packs of loo paper and stock up on Gin.

A cynic might think if you've burned your economy locking down and re-opened it to try and save some of the season's tourist trade, I guess you might not be so keen to lock down again and so................

It certainly wouldn't go down well with the population, just look at how many are wearing masks now. The government
has to consider its re-election prospects.

....LGC News say that 'she' was actually a 'he'

Bear in mind that the Turkish Language does not have separate personal pronouns for different genders - 'He', 'She' and 'It' are all 'O' in Turkish - it can make translating a little uncertain ;)
