!.30am 1st July Bush Fire?

Went onto balcony about 1.30 am to cool off and saw a huge orange glow ball coming from Lapta way close to the mountain range looking from Girne central, west. The glow ball died from view after 15 minutes but left a visible red sky for quite awhile. Any ideas?
