Family Visiting ?.
Several of my friends and myself have UK families booked to fly here for periods during the school holidays during August and September and currently there is no chance of them actually coming. Noone will come if they have to go into government quarantine as it would literally waste half of the holiday and how could you do that to children?? The loss of revenue for restaurants, shops etc is really going to hurt !! Waiting with bated breath for any movement by the TRNC government !!

There was a link to a post on here, I think, saying that Tui & Jet2 weren’t going to book any Cyprus holidays, south obviously, until the UK are moved to Category A. Don’t know if the north will follow if south do change it. I’m hoping as booked to come end of September. TA have an offer if you book before end of August you can change flights with no admin fee to either open ticket, or re book anytime in 2021.

Thank you for posting that information.
That seems reasonable - the danger with some of the smaller airlines is that they may go bust before you can redeem the promise - but at least with TA being the National Carrier, that's one thing less to worry about...
...and it's really difficult to muster any confidence in the attitude of the ROC going forward

I think that I will probably point this out to any friends or family who are looking to venture beyond the shores of Blighty!
To save me looking it up, do they state an end date to this offer?

I find it hard to comprehend how blinkered and selfish how some can be. The whole world and travellers are in the same predicament and getting no better, so international travel should be a NO NO unless absolutely vital. If little Johnny and Charlotte are getting a bit tetchy throw out their smart phones, put a few real books in-front of them and tell them to do some real reading, study and homework!

The world is not in the same predicament.
Europe is through the worst and countries are largely open for business. UK travellers to Spain, Italy, Greece etc have no restrictions.
As for children, smart phones can carry thousands of books and educational aids for studying.
The RoC will place the UK into Group A in August.
The TRNC is less able to accomodate a spate of covid needs so may take a little longer to welcome UK citizens without tests.
