I have purchased replacement brushes for a motor.
Due to the UK lockdown etc they have taken months to arrive.
I have discovered that they are the wrong size. Google is excellent and I managed to “shave” off the carbon bit and now it is the correct size.
I am now at a problem that is beyond my limited capabilities.
The spring and the brass bit at the end are the wrong size and I need to swap the correct bits from my old brushes to the new bit on the new brushes.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Photo to follow.
Thanks

Re: Motor Brushes
The nice man at Press Teknic (next to Freddies Bar as was) would be able to help you, I'm sure.
If he can't, chuck 'em over, and I'll have a decko...

Re: Motor Brushes
That took me back to the 60s when I used to replace the brushes in the starter motor (or was it the generator) of my old Hillman Minx. Sorry if I'm off topic but I couldn't resist.
