Our water cooler, the type with the water bottle underneath and our coffee machine are both leaking! Suspect plastic pipes have gone, but can’t be sure. Does anyone know where small appliance repairs can be done please?

Thanks

Moyra

You could try Tektan in Girne. They've repaired a watercooler for me.

Mozgor, check that it's not the water bottle itself with a pinhole leak!

Agree that Tektan are competent.

Hi Mozgor,
"Suspect plastic pipes have gone"

Disconnect power supply FIRST

I have repaired leaking hose previously, depends on where the leak is, shorten or replace.
Best bet is to put cooler outdoors, pop partially filled water bottle on.
From back of machine, unscrew any parts to gain access to problem. tricky, but doable.
Good luck

In answer to both suggestions, it’s not a water cooler with the bottle on top and it’s not coming from the bottle, I can feel where it’s coming from inside. It could be a loose connection, but I dismantled as far a I dared and then bottled out - excuse the pun

Hi Mozgor,
If it's a Water Dispenser/Cooler, with the bottle below,
You will need to power it up, to create pressure to the taps.
I would take it outside, connect everything up, inc water supply.
switch it on, look into back/workings, to check for leak.
Could be leaking where hose connects to the taps.
But be very careful!

Maybe better/safer/cheaper getting a professional to have a look.

I am working on one now, a top loader.

This is the suspect pipe.
Testing for leak as I type.

Do you mean Domart?

I always take mine there, and usually they fix 'em at no charge - but then, I did buy them from there...

That's the one and yes, they have never charged a penny for a repair of any type if I purchased from then. Even if the warranty was well out of date.
