I am looking for a Medical Supplies shop in the Girne area, OTHER THAN Gokce Medical near Bellapais Traffic Lights, in order to purchase compression stockings.
Any suggestions most welcome.
We have bought them from one or two stores, but they are no way the same as purchased in UK. I'm told that we would have to go down south to get NHS quality stockings.
When I was in hospital in Lefkosa my husband was sent out to the medical store shop near the hospital (the state hospital) He bought T.E.D. Stockings. Same as the U.K. ones. It was a few years ago though

Just you wait Keith Caley until you need them (I don't wear them either!!) However, getting them fitted correctly really is a medical art, and your legs have to be measured correctly in at least three places. Jayceebee, it really is up to you but I have seen proper medical stockings advertised in some magazines, RBL being one of them or sold on Amazon. Getting the right fitting is essential as I'm sure you appreciate. Good luck.
I have to say that when husband had to have them after an op the place opposite the Devlet hospital did come out to the car and measure his leg in several places and the ones they provided fitted much better than the ones from the hospital that he had first.
