It depends whether they have Skype installed on the 'phone, and whether they have a data connection/wifi...
If they have both , then you will both be able to see each other.
If you are simply making a chargeable call to their 'phone number, then it will depend on whether you have set up 'caller id' on the Skype account that you are calling from - if you have, then they will see your number, if you haven't, then they will see some meaningless number that Skype uses.

I don't have "caller ID" set up, so if you are correct, all the person in UK can see is a meaningless load of numbers. Would these numbers change every time I get through? If I call a landline and eventually get an "answer phone message" will the message actually record on their phone. I can hear the message, but not sure that what I say is actually recording.
Brinsley I think your remarks were ignorant and rude. I'm very particular as to who I allow to be insulting. You are not one of them.

Make the time to read the instructions on Skype's website on how to set up caller id for your trnc 'phone - it's not difficult, and at least folks will know who's calling...
I can't remember whether the 'default' number that Skype uses stays the same, or not - sorryy!
...and yes, whatever you say will be recorded on an 'Ansafone' type device

I don't know what to say about Brinsley, he's just Brinsley, really, he is what he is, I quite like him.

In the past when I called to a UK landline caller ID was withheld, you can buy a Skype number which will show and enable people who do not have Skype to call the number and get thro to you. A cheaper way for your friends to contact you as it counts as a local call to them. I used this a few years ago, so hopefully not changef
