Patio Roof Sealant
I have a flat patio roof which is tiled and I wish to seal it against the winter rains.
I did have 2 damp patches showing in bathroom and bedroom last winter.
I believe there is a clear silicon type sealer available but I do not know the name
of it. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

There's a few options mentioned here

I have a feeling that the DIY place in Karaoglanoglu, seaside, opposite the school sells it.

SEAL TK055 by BRV.
You can get it a TAYF. Put it on my Travetine 3 or 4 years ago, still good

I've always used FIX which you can buy in yapi markets (including Tayf). It was recommended by our old friend Kirk from Bracey builders. It is called stabilising solution in the UK. I apply every couple of years. Make sure the roof is clean and properly grouted, the liquid gets into the grout, and any cracks, then dries like a glue which gives you a waterproof surface. Best roll it on with a roller after using a brush for the awkward places, like around the bottom of railings. It seems to be a good rust-proofer too. I would leave it until October or early November to apply. It's too hot at the moment.

Thanks Jonnie and frontalman. Where is TAYF (I'm East of Girne) and you say Fix dries like a glue. Is it ok to walk on?

If you come out west from town on the coast route it is on the right not long after The Ship. Big Marshalls advert. If you google TAYF ltd you can bring up a map.
The TK055 was recommended by the decorator I use (Mo) after he spent several years trying different things.

Thanks. Found it. I'll have a drive in later this week. BRV also has a web page in English.

Once it's dry it's fine, however, I have been informed by a friend who owns a yapi market that FIX, which was part of the trimetal brand of products, is no longer available. Because it is solvent based it has been banned by the EU. It was made in Poland, apparently. Shame it was also good for sealing masonry repairs before you painted over them. I did buy some BRV while I was there, which I will use later in the year.
