Trying to discover the whereabouts of cars?

Rather than spends hours and hours going the wrong way, perhaps someone knows the best route!! I am trying to discover what might have happened to a 1935 Roller. I have a registration number.

We managed to trace a mid thirties Lagonda to Australia but that was just a fluke. Back in the day the winner of the Australian grand prix was taken on a lap of honour in it. Have a registration number.

Last but not least is an orange Hudson Tereplane, no registration (mid thirties we think) Am trying hard to decipher registration number from an early coloured photograph. Many thanks.

Oh come on, there must be someone out their interested or knowledgeable in old luxury cars. These were cars in the family back in the thirties and we'd just love to see if they are alive in kicking someone in the world. As I say we know the Lagonda went to Australia and I suppose I could perhaps find a forum out there.?

Sophie,You have give me a memory flashback.My dad owned a Hudson Terraplane and as a young lad i had the job of lapping the valves in on the engine,I remember the Reg AMW343 but i think it ended its days in a scrapyard in the Forest of Dean

Ours might have ended up in much the same place. There you go, that's your starter for ten.... there must be somewhere in Government archives or something where all registration numbers go to die!! Now its the Roller and Lagonda for me to concentrate on.

A neighbour had a similar question, so asked daughter, met officer & friends ex met officers, they said DVLA. But this is limited, after that, they had no idea

Classic Owners Club, that's a thought, especially if I concentrate in each individual car.

Rolls Royce owners club should help plus contact the dvla quoting reg and any other details you have. The jaguar drivers club traced my e type that was stolen and exported by the restorer.

They were tracing owners back as far as 1908 also Richard biddulph a rolls specialist

terry2366 and KC, thanks for your help re the cars. I contacted Richard Biddulph as recommended and he came back the same day. Has suggested I contact ww.prewarcar.com which I've done. Honestly, anyone even vaguely interested in cars that had character and were made of metal (sometimes brass!!) this is the web site to go on. Cars from 45£ to the skys the limit. So we'll see what happens.
