Does anyone know if I have to wait till 1st Oct to pay the tax for my new rental contract and get stamped or can I do now with 1st Oct as start date?

Has anyone had theirs stamped recently, plan to get there early but how early would I be looking at?

Any help greatly appreciated (:())

It is up to the landlord to get the contract stamped and pay the contract tax. And monthly tax.
You need this for any residency application.

You need the original contract (I have heard it should be in Turkish) + a copy, copIes of Kocan & Landlord & Tenant’s passport/kimlik.
Walk round to the back of the tax office you do not need to go early in fact they don’t start until work until 8.30/9.00
You can get the contract stamped I am not sure if you will be able to pay October rental tax it has to be paid by 15 November
If the rent is in TL the rate has been reduced to 8% from September

We've just registered a new contract in English - nothing mentioned about a translation to Turkish!!

Can't say whether you can do it early or not - I would guess not but don't know for sure.

You don't need to queue or get a ticket in the foyer - all that is for the road tax/mot etc etc. Just approach the security man at the door into the main office and tell him "Kira" which I believe is Rental, and show him your papers. He will let you in and you pass the car road tax windows on your left and go towards the rear, bearing slightly right and the windows you want are on both sides. You register it on the left side and pay the girl on the opposite side.

There is a photocopier service upstairs in the cafe. Sterling contracts are now taxed at 13% as of September which is a bit of a blow. As previously metioned, TL contracts are now taxed at 8%.

That is good news Compass it appears the ‘all contracts must be in Turkish’ ruling has not been adopted.
As I said if you go round the back of the building you do not have to fight your way through the hordes waiting to tax their cars, social distancing is definitely not being practiced there.

Only the landlord can register to pay online or they have to provide POA. I tried to do this last month as I pay on behalf of a friend that lives in the UK. They would not let me do it unfortunately.

I don’t think you can register online you have to complete a form & they give you a password.

Thank you for all replies.
Knowing I don't have to wade through the crowds is great news and was my main worry. I'll wait till 1st of October and go round the back, thank you again (:()) ($$)

Yes, I have registered in person as a landlord and have an ID but was not told at the time about the online payment facility. So can anyone help in providing the website address please?
