Health Insurance
Sorry to Post herebut I need a quick rely...
Immigration have just phoned me and said they have marked my application that I have paid my Health insurance.
They say I have to go to Koop bank, buy it and take them the recipt to them before my applicaton will continue.
Question is, can I buy it at any Koop Bank ?
Cheers.

Could you let us know how you get on?
I know of someone who's husband is able to pay online but she, as the family member, has not been given the option.
She's been advised that "you will need to do this manually, I suggest that you do it at the Koop Bank in Lefkosa, then go to the Health Ministry to register the payment. Then take the stamped receipt from the Health Ministry, straight to the Immigration Department and ask to see an Immigration Officer, and ask for the receipt to be added to your file, and update the system"
But I wonder if the Interior Ministry will just accept the Koop bank receipt now and sort out the health ministry bit. It would certainly save a lot of hassle.

Yes but if you had read my Post it was there error. They had marked it as paid, but seeing the system was written by the equivelant of a 7 year old programmer they could not do a simple system housekeeping and delete that field so that I could pay online.
There error but I had to go to Koop Bank the to the Ministry of Heath, then the Ministry of Immigration to see Isher.... Boy am I looking forward to have a conversation with her.

Haircut, thanks for the information. There seems to be a fairly long standing issue where family members are not offered state insurance, in certain circumstances. It should really have been fixed by now. Unfortunately, you've confirmed that Koop bank, ministry of health and ministry of interior still have to be visited to rectify the problem. What a pain.

Re: Health Insurance
Can't find the map that I was thinking of - perhaps I dreamt it, or maybe it was on Facebook!
Anyway, Google Maps to the rescue
The Interior Ministry/Immıgratıon Dept and Sağlık Bakanlığı (Health Mınıstry) are clearly marked.
Basically, you just carry on from the big roundabout, past the State Hospital until you reach the traffic lights on the map, and turn left for the Interior Ministry.
If you've got a pad or smartphone, search for 'Interior Ministry' or 'Health Ministry' in Google maps, and it will give you turn by turn directions.
PapaBravo did give these directions from the Interior Ministry to the Health Ministry: -
"Go back the way you came. Take the last left turn about 100 yards before the traffic lights. There is a low, white building ahead about 50 yards down, with a car park on the right. Enter the building, turn left, second office on the right."
Hope this helps.
