Silly question..........we have an uncle and cousin.....T.C.......wife’s side of the family, due over in 10days......have told them about the wrist thingys.......both getting over excited, about not having to go the hotel quarantine route.......and doing the lockdown at home.......however.......they are coming over through the dark side, and going thro PYLE crossing........I’m guessing the wrist band trial will only be applied at ERCAN...............and as they only seem to have 250 pieces.........so I know nothing has as yet, been confirmed about home quarantine without a Basildon bracelet.......has anybody got any ideas, what may happen.............told you it was a silly question.........thanks in advance.........

Just wondering how or if they will test everyone at the end of the isolation period. When I came out recently, and had to quarantine in a hotel it was easy to test us all in one place. But 250 or thereabouts separate locations would prove difficult.

Re: Wrist bands for self quarantine.
My daughter Ceylan and her fiancé Alfie arrived at Ercan around 2am Tuesday morning. They were unable to request self quarantine with wrist bands nor preferred hotel/area. Went through entire process without knowing where they were going, hotel or area. They ended up in a 3 start hotel in Famagusta at 5am by coach loaded with students. I was able to drop off some bits and pieces, ie. milk, water, snacks etc. No hot food, takeaways or alcohol allowed.
They are set to do 14 days quarantine and so far Ceylan is loving it, not so much so for Alfie. Wonder if she will still feel the same after 10 days?
Looking forward to them coming home.

They should have come on their boat - they could have self isolated on that and been at home! Mind you it would have been a bit rough this time of year - lol.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Sorry Billy boy, I've just re-read your post and now realise your pop wasn't a pop, it was self-deprication. Apologies

That was the intention, but they were advised not to sail in Med during winter and also issues with quarantine in Italy and Greece.

Thanks Billybondz. They are working on the new videos whilst in quarantine, so they will post them soon. At least they have something to occupy them for 14 days.BILLYBONDZ wrote: ↑Fri 06 Nov 2020 6:08 pmSONER............hope your lovely daughter and Alfie manage to do the lock in, without to many problems........really used to look forward to the boat trip reports and videos........both very brave people........I’m not sure I could do, what they have done.........hats off to them..........please give them my best regards.......even though they don’t know me from Adam.........get them donuts on the go, for when they get set free......

Re: Wrist bands for self quarantine.
It wasn't until I read an article in todays C2D, that people actually have to pay for the wrist bands, don't think it said how much though, although I suspect it'll be cheaper than a hotel!!
