Doesn't it have to be in English and Turkish for the residency process though?

We have never been asked for a Turkish one.

We have never been asked for a Turkish one but it's a purchase contract, can't see why rental would be different.

It might be different because it is different I guess.

I'm pretty sure I read on here the the Rental Agreement had to be in English and Turkish or at least not just in English.

I Can only say from my experience, English only registered contracts have been used to gain residency in the last month and have been accepted.

This thread touches on it

https://kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/view ... sh#p262839

All I know is my latest rental agreement was in English AND Turkish whereas the previous ones had been just in English and neither I nor the landlord asked for dual languages.

Maybe it is a new rule that hasn't fully kicked in yet or maybe it should be in both languages but some get through?

All I am saying is it might be worth checking as you might run into problems when you renew your residency.

HOWEVER............ if you have the contract in Sterling you now pay 13% rental tax, but if you have it in TL you only pay 8% tax!!!!

Wish I had known this before hand...
