See attached!
From 18th Jan Vodafone’s policy changing again.
If you are away for 62 days or more in a 4 month period you can expect to be charged for data, calls and text. For Turkey the daily data roaming charge is £6!
I have spoken to Vodafone customer services and they will not budge on this. Quoting EU regs and Ofcom regs.
I pointed out UK was no longer in EU and that Northern Cyprus not in EU. Made no difference.
Vodafone customers have the option to cancel current Unlimited Max Plan without penalty if I wish but there is no flexibility re the new charges if you wish to stay outside the UK for more than 62 days.
Sounds like its back to a cheaper UK package and swap to a local SIM when in Cyprus.

Yep I changed in the summer.
Got 10 g data & unlimited mintes/texts from vodafone in UK for £11pm.
Got cheap Samsung pay as you go for TRNC.
I use UK phone in wifi areas including at home in TRNC so whatsapp phone/vide calls are free.

Managed to get through to customer service by phone who didn’t seem to understand what was going on and had to refer to a superior.
I also did an on line chat. Got passed to 3 separate departments. The 3rd one said I would be charged from tomorrow for all roaming evening though the policy doesn’t change until 18th Jan and I haven’t received the 14 day email or text warning that I am supposed to get. When I pointed this out the chat line wanted me to send them the email I got today. I refused. Told them it should be on my account.
Sounds like Vodafone arn’t going to budge on this.
I will register a formal complaint via there complaints procedure but I doubt it will get anywhere.

Yes I spent over an hour yesterday with three different agents including two managers and got nowhere.
