A very lonely xmas for many people living alone,these people are desperate to interact with someone,just a phone call or message makes the world of difference

We have invited for Boxing Day lunch, a Ukrainian chap who is living on his own for the next 6-8 months. Its going to be fun as he speaks very little English indeed and our Ukrainian is non existent. I know there is Google translate, converted to both speech and the written word together but having a conversation is going to be a bit laborious. I think lunch is going to resemble the game of charades!! Do they play charades in the Ukraine??

Reaching out to friends and family is what Christmas is all about, it’s been a hard year for everyone in many different ways so I’m sending a virtual hug to anyone that needs it xx
