I doubt their generosity will extend to us from the North!

Which would we be if we live here? Residents - no because we don’t live in the RoC. Tourists - no because we entered from an illegal point of entry (well I did entering in Kyrenia harbour in 2007) or Visitor - no because the RoC do not recognise TRNC so we can’t have come from there, back to tourist then?

For sure they will let any UK based tourist/visitor in provided you enter via the South under the 90 days in any 6 months, that would give you 6 months in any rolling 12 months, so no change. Beware Greeks bearing gifts!

No doubt, either money will find a way as it usually does... they want your spending power, or, as has been true in the past....

They will cut their nose off to spite their face.

Either way, I doubt we will ever spend money in the south again if they insist on racial profiling as their modus operandi..

Suspect what we were told pre Brexit by the non-cheerful, non-friendly GC policeman in the Metahan booth will happen.
He said after Brexit Brits would not be allowed to drive British owned TC registered vehicles in the south.

Panchcat, did he also mention that non Cypriots over the age of 70 would not be allowed to drive in the RoC unless they lived there? Not another “Project Fear” just what I was told would happen post Brexit, by probably the same extremely unhelpful policeman in his fat suit the last time I drove over there - lol. By the way, I don’t think it was his suit that was fat!

He is a cheerful chappie isn't he waddo! ;-)
No he didn't tell us that delightful one!
Wish I knew why being over 70 and not residing in the ROC was different to being 70 and residing in the ROC.

Panchocat, It was not about where you lived, it was because you were not Cypriot! Apparently non Cypriots cease to be good drivers when they reach 70 - lol. He has come up with some wonderful “laws” in the past but that one just took the biscuit for me, especially as I was 72 at the time of being told, but as I was an EU citizen then, that was ok??? Now I apparently am in double jeopardy as I am 73 and no longer an EU citizen! I just wonder what excuses he will have after the borders reopen and I go across on my push bike - lol.
