Driving licence renewal by proxy

Can’t find anything relevant using search (but that may be my failing!)

Our TRNC driving licences are due for renewal early February but we’re currently “stuck” in our second home and unwilling to travel until we get our vaccinations (hopefully sooner rather than later). We have flights booked but will defer them until that happens.

So is it possible to, as it were, renew by proxy by asking someone to renew the licences for us? I know that the driving school near the polis station was able to get initial licences for people (a friend got his that way) so perhaps renewal is possible.

If your proxy freind has your licence then they would have to illegally complete the application form with your signature.
Why bother, just wait till you get here.
