How to extend 90 days as a tourist?
Searched forum and could not find an answer. If a tourist and you get 90 days stamped on passport, is it possible to extend by say another 4-5 days? If so, how and where?

Will you let us know if anyone answers the phone.
I've been ringing since Oct and the nearest I've got is someone picking it up and putting it down.

No joy calling, so I have sent them an email (in Turkish) via their website. Will let you know if they respond.

Good luck. I'd be looking for more than an extra few days with the way rules are changing daily all over the place.

Re: How to extend 90 days as a tourist?
My issue is that at the final stage of online payment for residency the first payment attempt was rejected so I used another card which was accepted.
I was then unable to login and it transpired both payments had been taken. I've been unable to get past the login page since.
I'm sure there is no contingency built in to a north Cyprus IT system to deal with a double payment!

I wouldn't worry too much as no one is going anywhere from the very near future!

This topic has nothing to do with residency...it's a tourist visa 90 extension and if it can be done.Hedge-fund wrote: ↑Tue 22 Dec 2020 6:04 pmMy issue is that at the final stage of online payment for residency the first payment attempt was rejected so I used another card which was accepted.

I was told to phone Lefkosa immigration hence my request to Soner to keep us updated if he got a reply by email.

Hi,
Re 90 day tourist visa on British Passport.
Does this require extending if one or both of your parents are Turkish Cypriot? My understanding is that if one or both parents are TC, then even if born abroad you are automatically a TRNC Citizen.
Until age 49, there is 60/90 day limit imposed due to Military Service postponement. But after age 49, then that limit no longer applies either?
I found info here: http://212.175.153.230:6680/asal/01GeneralInfo.html

Re: How to extend 90 days as a tourist?
This was for my daughter's fiancé, English, British Passport. Police Immigration in Lefkosa said that 90 days could not even be extended by one day and that I had to go to the Home Office to enquire. Home Office said that the only way to extend his stay was to apply for temporary residency. Now in the process.

Re: How to extend 90 days as a tourist?
Maybe temp/residency is a better situation? As once obtained, stays of 90days+ are permitted without triggering any Military Service obligations?
As somebody with TC parents, I can not stay a day over 60 days per year without triggering that.

Decided against applying, as not much time left to sort out. Will review once they are married.Soner wrote: ↑Wed 20 Jan 2021 3:46 amThis was for my daughter's fiancé, English, British Passport.
