Re: Wanted fugitive
Think there are a few out here, the extradition status appeals. I wouldn't worry I would imagine they keep their heads down. If the authorities know they are here I assume they are tolerated as long as they don't foul their own doorstop and if they don't know they are here they are going to do little to change that fact.happyinthesun wrote: ↑Sat 23 Jan 2021 1:02 pmPeople not too far from where l have just come to live in N Cyprus are saying there is a Britains most wanted criminal living in Karaagac......l am the nervous type so does anyone know if this is true please?

Re: Wanted fugitive
Thanks for the reply.Whilst l don't actually live in Karaagac l live quite close,l was told the person in question is very aggresive and has made severe threats to anyone who upsets him.Seems he has cameras and locks and chains all around his house plus aggresive, vicious dogs.Making me very frightened,l do hope action is taken.

Re: Wanted fugitive
Maybe other more aggressive people are looking for him!
I'd be very surprised if he caused any trouble, it isn't in his interest.
Of course he could be a total BS merchant as generally those that can don't usually make a fuss that they can, after all what do they have to prove?
Either way I wouldn't be worried.

When you have been here a little while, you will find out that North Cyprus is the rumour centre of the universe. So much so that if there are no juicy rumours doing the rounds Rumour Centre will soon sort it out. Dont worry just enjoy your time here.

Re: Wanted fugitive
Do not listen to half of the rubbish spouted by people here. Many people re invent themselves here. You will find a huge amount of Ex SAS people here and as you have already heard many who are Britain's most wanted. In reality there is very little trouble here of any sort and it is a far safer place than many in the UK.
Use common sense as you would in the UK but don't let 'stories' make you paranoid. Just look around you when you are out and about. How many shops do you see leave stock out all night? How many cars do you see in the supermarket car park either left with keys in or in the summer left with the engine running and the car unlocked to keep it cool?
That isn't to say that everything here is perfect. Driving standards here do not exist and the place is littered literally with litter but on the whole I am sure you will find it a far better life with little to worry about. Take most stuff that you are told with a pinch of salt. Many people like to create a drama and will fill your head with all sorts of rubbish if you let them.

Re: Wanted fugitive
If anyone can remember back there was a time when Kenny Noye was supposed to be in the TRNC, it was in 1996/97. Different restaurants swore blind that he had eaten there. He was finally tracked down to Spain, where he had been all the time. Rumour mill worked really well then.

100% this. A lot of people out here seemed to work for the Krays through the week and the territorial SAS at the weekends.Chriswright03 wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jan 2021 7:59 amDo not listen to half of the rubbish spouted by people here. Re: Wanted fugitive
There are lots of wanted people living amongst us all here! They should keep their heads down.
Kenneth Noye was certainly here a while - I used to live next to his nephew in the UK.
He had lots of properties here but sold most of them and moved the money to Spain - I believe he still has some properties here...

Could be that he reads this Forum, and now he'll be frightened stiff if he thinks a load of Kibkommers come "gunning" for him. You won't see him for dust. Pinch of salt nonsense, I suspect.

Beats me why people would want to pretend that they were in the Scottish Ambulance Service.

I remember that someone used to post notifications of (service) reunions, specifying "no walts" - I know, appreciate and applaud that addendum, even though I have never served...

I employed his son Brett for a while and his dad was 100% in TRNC for a bit.ljarvo wrote: ↑Sun 24 Jan 2021 1:17 pmThere are lots of wanted people living amongst us all here! They should keep their heads down.

A decent kid and there was a lot more to the incident than is public.

Re: Wanted fugitive
I am wanted back in the UK for a library fine. I daren't go back to the UK in case I am tracked down. Interpol have me on their most wanted list! I have also heard there are wanted posters all over the social media with a reward being offered. I'm just laying low for a while. I just tell people I was the original founder of Amazon and a good friend of Bill Gates.
