Wow that is not good news. But if it keeps covid deaths down then I am ok with that.
I cannot believe last year up to December we only had 5 deaths and now another 9 deaths in a couple of months. People should wear their masks properly and test themselves at supermarkets instead of passing the waiting queue and just walking into supermarket.

Got it! It’s simple : Apply all the rules of cricket and add the off side rule of football along with the no contact rules of ice hockey to the yardage calculations of American football first. If you are driving then you must adhere to the tyre changing regulations and fuel regulations of F1 but not the component changing penalties! To find out what is open and when is easy, it is all based on BST minus the difference between EST and local times in Perth!

There. Simple guide to what you can do is much the same as posted inside the main doors of the Tower of London, which is currently closed due Covid 19, so stay inside!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

It isn't getting through to some people here and its only just after 11am with a week to go. Walkers going by who tried to convince me they are allowed to walk as much as they like for exercise regardless of Lock Down, then two more (students/out of work waiters)? weeding and mowing a lawn. Don't have any problem with them earning a few Lira but its the owner of the property who is putting them at risk when they walk to the property earlier this morning and then have to walk back later today that I take issue with.

Unfortunately, there are always those who break the rules, doesn't seem to apply to them. I'm of the mind that I can only control what I do, and stay at home, only going out for essentials on the very rare occasion. It can be hard not to get bothered about what others are up to, but as I have no control, it's not worth getting upset over, albeit it can be damned annoying at times.

I think a lot of people now are winding themselves up with all of this. Yes it is vital that we all stay as safe as possible and it is also annoying that others won't do their bit. Thing is if you get upset every time you see someone without a mask you are going to make yourself ill. Only today I read someone moaning about people walking their dogs on the old airfield and not wearing a mask. OK so they are not allowed to walk their dogs but they have decided to and are nowhere near anyone else so that is their problem if the Police see them (unlikely). As to not wearing a mask who are they protecting on the old airfield?

Somewhere else it was pointed out the other day that contact with an infected person to be considered a risk is 15 minutes in close contact without a mask. I doubt many of us are going to be next to an infected person knowingly for that amount of time in a supermarket or while they walk their dogs 200 yards away.

This spread is being caused by people mixing in groups be it in the home or elsewhere and not taking any precautions. It would help if the virus gave a big visible sign on the forehead then we could all know just who is and isn't infected except we wouldn't because someone can well be infected before symptoms start to show,

As I said before it is annoying that some people either are too stupid to know what they are doing or just don't care, but there is nothing that I personally can do about it. So I do the next best thing I keep myself within the rules and as safe as I possible can by looking after my own conduct and hopefully reducing risks.

Chris Wright well said sensible approach, totally agree. It is annoying but we choose to keep ourselves safe so follow rules. Fingers crossed we will come out of this soon .

The problem when you write these rules especially on the fly is if they are too flexible people will ride rough shod over them so they end up having to be more draconian than they need to be.
Hopefully people including the police show some common sense and the police penalise those that don't comply or show any common sense or empathy heavily.
With law there is always the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.

Dog walking is an example. If you live in the middle of nowhere and take your dog for a walk up a deserted mountain then you are causing no risk to anyone. Even if you should see another dog walker as long as you keep your distance then what harm? Under those circumstances I'd assume the police even if they caught you which is unlikely would use some discretion.
The problem is some have been caught walking their dogs on the Lapta walkway which to my knowledge you shouldn't be walking your dogs on at any time. These are the people who believe that rules and laws should apply to everyone except them.

Sadly there are still many who seem to believe this is OTT and that the COVID virus is not as serious as it is being made out to be.
I hope for their sake they, and the sake of their family, that they do not catch it and get sick.

Sadly I have 3 friends in the UK who have died from this - one of whom had no underlying illnesses and was only 50.
Several friends have been admitted to hospital and thankfully have made it through being on a ventilator.
They are likely to have long term damage to their lungs and after effects.
And many friends who have tested positive, initially asymptomatic but later showing symptoms of severe stress.
As I am shopping and caring for a friend who is 87 and whose son has recently died, I am being extra cautious as I do not want to be the carrier who makes her sick.

This is a serious virus regardless of what you believe.
Even if you aren't worried about your own health, please consider the health of others and your own family.
You may not get sick but you could spread this to others who could end up seriously ill.
If we don't all stick to the rules we have little hope of breaking the cycle and bringing an end to this pandemic.

Please be a responsible citizen and think about others as well as yourself.

Catlover, well said there are so many idiots out there who think they are invincible, and that they can just carry on as normal. All we can do is protect ourselves and others as best we can regardless of the irresponsible imbeciles.
