Yes it is me whinging again about the post NOT being sorted.

It is worse than Christmas. The sorting table is full, there are sacks around the sorting table.
Oh of course the children are on school holiday......

The front desks are manned but no sorting is being done.( I have been checking all week )

Like a fool I renewed my P.O. box for another TL 25.00 for a further year.

Maybe I can get a job there.........no work permit needed..........

We actually didn`t do too badly with Xmas cards this year.....................although over half of them were sent to Ozankoy post office by Girne .........................and ironically....this year and last year................I didn`t get a card from my brother.
The reason I say that is ..........................he used to work for.......................................the Post office.

There has to be some poetic justice there, especially as last year he stayed at my niece`s house and sent his card from there.....but I received her card........................

Oh well.....................yes good idea about forming our own sorting group......

I wondered if there was some sort of strike on???

There's still hope for your Christmas cards as I received a letter last week that had been posted in England in October!

If anyone in Karaoglanoglu area wants to sort through the letters there (expecially if you don't have a PO Box) the bloke there would probably let you go through it yourself!! Honest.

Went to the post office Girne today, yes they had sorted some. No post for me.

Thought, maybe I will try Ozankoy post office as thats part of our address........and yes 1 letter. OK it didn`t have the PO BOX number as part of the add, but then it should still have been spotted.

In reverse, I posted two birthday cards, for my daughters in law who both live in Surrey, from Catalkoy post office, at the beginning of January. To date neither card has arrived. Frustrating!
As to Christmas cards all of ours were delivered to us on Christmas Day itself. Obviously they had all been held in stack somewhere.

Have to say our outward post has been pretty good. even sent a couple of letters registered. I realise that should be safer but was still a bit wary.....

Just heard that the birthday cards arrived yesterday, five weeks after I posted them.
Will post from Ledra Street in future as a card posted on Tuesday last week from there arrived in Surrey on Monday!
