I assume from this that if you are coming from UK and your title deed is not in joint name, only the name on the title deed can travel?

Most people do keep their deeds to their house in the same country either at their home or with their advocate.
I wonder why it has to be the original and why you can not travel with a copy and show the original within a certain time frame. There must be some logic behind their request.

According to a government official the Kocan can be easily forged! Which begs the question if you have a kocan how does anyone know whether it’s forged or not.

Interesting !! but why someone cannot show it at a later time even if it meant a fine on no show surely they would catch up with the person.
I wonder what advocates can do if they are holding the original,
Sounds like time for a new online app to enter the country, employment for people to check the kocan number. People print off the right to enter. Solve the 30 40 day problem.
Oh is it called a visa in other countries?

Logic and TRNC are not on the same page

Surely if you have the Kocan title number. It would be a simple digital exercise to cross reference with the land registry and so confirm title and holder against passport.

Life could be so simpler sometimes.
