Travelling to Lefkosia

I need to travel into Lefkosia tomorrow from Girne and wanted to ask if we still need to obtain permission etc. and if there are checkpoints or can you just jump in a car and drive into Lefkosia?

We went today from Kayalar, therefore through Yilmazköy. No permission needed and no checks.

Not a problem, only if you want to go far east or west.
