Post Office Box
Good morning. Looking for information on getting a PO box. We are in Karsiyaka. Is there a local option or is Girne post office a better choice? How much does it cost and how easy to set up? All information really appreciated.

Re: Post Office Box
The PO boxes are in the square next to the park.
You go to Lapta PO and pay for the year and get a key
They are not for parcels, only unimportant letters etc as they are not secure.

Re: Post Office Box
Yes...letters only. However when a parcel is received, or any registered item, a notification slip is placed in your PO Box which you then take to the Post Office to claim your item.

Thanks for the replies. Are the PO boxes from Girne PO any better / more secure?

Re: Post Office Box
We have a PO box and they are not secure. I lost our key and for over a year I used a nail file. or on a couple of occasions, a thumb nail. Parcels or padded envelopes are kept in PO itself and as mentioned above, a note is placed in the Box for you to sign for. At least that is what happens with us.
