Digital camera repairs?
Can anyone recommend a reliable camera repair person? I have a Panasonic Lumix and it appears the zoom lens is stuck, so I'd like to find somewhere to get it checked out and hopefully repaired. Thanks for any help.

Try watching this Video there are several things you can do yourself before having to pay to get it fixed.

Thanks, Mike, tried all the suggestions until the bit where you could damage the camera but nothing worked. It's likely sand in the lens as I was taking photos on the beach prior to the lens getting stuck. So I guess I'll have to check around to find out who can clean it and do a good job. It's only a year old, but it's just out of warranty - Murphy's law, I guess. But thanks for the link anyway.

You could try the shop opposite the new Lemar in the centre of town - they specialise in digital cameras, also go in and see the lovely old chap that owns the photographer shop (also opposite Lemar - he goes out of his way to be helpful and if he can't do it, then I'm sure he knows someone who can!!)

Thanks, Sophie, will do. At least when you mention Lemar I know where to find the shop!
