I imagine that there are quite a few of us who will travel to N. Cyprus when this happens and just put up with the home quarantine on return to the UK. As far as I am concerned, I think that travelling via Larnaca or Paphos could have too many potential problems.
I flew to TRNC last week into Ercan and intend to fly back to the UK out of Larnaca next month.
Fun and games no doubt.
There are strong rumours that Turkey will be added to UK amber list on 15th July - just as the south flirts with the red list.

Only really an issue if you are not double vaccinated. We came last Wednesday from a red country and breezed through larnaca faster than ever before. We just had to upload our certificate prior to arrival.Hedge-fund wrote: ↑Mon 05 Jul 2021 9:16 amScrub everything!Hedge-fund wrote: ↑Sun 04 Jul 2021 9:31 pmScrub that!Hedge-fund wrote: ↑Fri 18 Jun 2021 9:51 am

But I've just read on the Cyprus Flight Pass info page that those travelling to the ROC from a designated Red list country must now take a second Covid 19 test on arrival at their own expense and self-isolate until the result is known? Presumably self-isolation in ROC?

Re: Looking to come to TRNC in June
The ministry reiterated that all passengers need to file an application to CyprusFlightPass before their flight to Cyprus. The document could be used as a substitute to the national SafePass allowing tourists to visit indoor crowded venues such as shopping malls, restaurants and cafés among others.
Meanwhile, people, regardless of nationality, holding a valid vaccination certificate concerning the acceptable vaccines will be exempt from presenting a negative PCR test or self-isolation.
The acceptable vaccines include Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Janssen, Sputnik V and Sinopharm.
In the case of two-dose vaccines the person should have been vaccinated with both doses, while in the case of the Janssen vaccine (single-dose vaccine) 14 days should have elapsed between the vaccine dose and the travel date. More information is available at https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/en/vacc ... passengers.
As of August 1, Cypriots and legal residents of the Republic flying from abroad must follow the protocols applying to all passengers unless they have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Unless you are double vaccinated from an approved country within 14 days of arrival. I came from a red country (now gone orange but still having to quarantine which is a bit annoying) and just showed my Cyprus fly pass that I had printed off and was straight in.SATRANÇ wrote: ↑Mon 05 Jul 2021 11:23 amBut I've just read on the Cyprus Flight Pass info page that those travelling to the ROC from a designated Red list country must now take a second Covid 19 test on arrival at their own expense and self-isolate until the result is known? A few months ago, when Qatar was on the grey list my friends fly into larnaca. They basically got tested on arrival and had to go straight home. They received their negative text message a few hours later and were free to go out. They do own a home in larnaca though, so that obviously made it easier. Not sure if you could just book a one night start somewhere down south if it was a problem.

Thanks for your responses Trigger and Wanderer. I note a CyprusFlightPass is required for ALL passengers including minors but the children aged 6, have not been vaccinated in the UK of course, while the parents have. Will the children be required to take a Covid 19 test on arrival into ROC and self-isolate in ROC until the results are known?

Re: Looking to come to TRNC in June
My friend arrived last week with her two children. The youngest one, who is about 6 didn’t need to be tested but her teenage daughter did as she had only received one jab at the time of arrival.SATRANÇ wrote: ↑Mon 05 Jul 2021 3:34 pmThanks for your responses Trigger and Wanderer. Thanks Trigger! So it looks as though passengers from a RED list country, which includes the UK, are now required to undergo a molecular PCR test on arrival into ROC at their own expense (c.€30 euros) excluding childen under 12 irrespective of whether they have been double vaccinated or not? Am I reading that correctly?

No I don't think I am! Fully vaccinated passengers are exempt as per Wanderer's message. My apologies!

I think it’s the way it’s written. It’s a bit confusing. But yeah, definitely no pcr test on arrival from red countries if double vaccinated. You just need to upload your certificate beforehand on cyprus flight pass.

Okay, thank you both for your patience! I guess we'll see later in the week if Mr Shapps makes any changes to the traffic light colour as far as ROC is concerned?

Hello Maisiemoo,
I was just wondering if you are able to post your experience yet of flying via Larnaca using a TRNC address on the Pass document?
