Car Tax Online

Have been paying for car tax and mot online for past couple of years without a problem

This year an extra payment of 295 tl appeared on my acct for overseas journey! The system would not allow me to pay my car tax without paying this additional fee!

I went to Girne tax office to query. I was advised to go to Nicosia office to query the fee (probably a system or admin error) and allowed to pay for my car tax there and then at Girne tax office.

I emailed Nicosia tax office (akos@bub.gov.ct.tr) and got a quick reply today but I believe it is unlikely to resolve matters. They say just click the section you want to pay. The overseas payment is an ‘optional extra’ not a payment demand.

Will probably hit a brick wall again when I try to pay for my MOT or tax online again. Anyone else had any similar problems?

The above has got me thinking. Does anyone know how to obtain your MOT online, if you have to show an Emission test certificate in order to get the MOT.?

You pay for mot fee online and take emissions test results with you to mot inspection station.

Thanks for that. I heard yesterday (don't know if its true) that there are only two approved Emission test stations now. One next to Dagli Insurance in Karaoglanoglu and the Erdener Garage the other side. Can anyone confirm please.
