Belkin, are you saying that we don't have to go through all the on line rigmarole now?

So how are the businesses' going to check?
Will they have scanners at the entrance?
Will random employees install QR readers on their phones and carry out the checks?
Come to think of it I don't know any businesses that have actually joined the scheme.

Hi steve66,
Directions to Esentepe Health Centre.
From main road, turn up to Esentepe. Pass Mosque.
Turn 1st right.
Pass Brisk Garage.
Shortly after Brisk Garage, app 30 metres turn right.
Go through small crossroad.
Health Centre is on the left shortly after that.

That's my point roman; they're not taking the scheme seriously. It's like they're sticking their fingers in the ear and hoping it goes away.

Well it is live as of today but I doubt many places will do anything to check. When did you last have to have your temperature checked and write down your contact details? If it is over Catalkoy way I would suggest nowhere unless you go to SAH supermarket.

SHA have always taken temps, asked you to give phone number and replaced and disinfected the pen you use every time. I suspect then, they will be one of the first to operate the system. Apparently customers have until 30th to take their passes with them. But then, it could change again. I just can't see the little old lady I meet in the small illeli having a pass.

I'm going to need to have another go at this, aren't I?

I gave up and said f@ck it at my first attempt ;)

I'll try ringing the helpline number...
Rang 1111, whatsapped 'em, sent photos of green card, passport - still no joy!

Spoke to Joe Soap this am, and did what he did - went to GAU Medical Centre, and they sorted it out in a few minutes.

Don't bang your head against a brick wall - they're there to help.

Many thanks 13roman58 for your advice.

Did get through to 1111 very early morning. Was told to go to Medical Centre between 12 and 2.00. They eventually discovered my records showed I am a CT. They corrected the data and showed me the corrected screen on their laptop with the ADA pass. From that took a photo. Success.

Does this mean lefkosa people will be coming over the mountain to do their shopping? And go to restaurants! Both girne and lefkosa have the highest positive cases.

Why not, lots come from the South already and their positive cases are much higher than here.

Have been trying since last Friday to create our ADA pass. Run credit down on the phone, listening to music for 4 hours on and off yesterday, got through only to have the phone put down twice. (:"() Eventually got a man with good English, went through everything, we have a problem we are not listed........ Asked for copies of passport etc by phone to another number, explained not on whatsup and won't send....... Sat and input all the details by hand sent it all across and .......... NOTHING still can't get into it, sent a text to the number given nothing (:Z)(
Phone credit is not enough to phone again today
They come up with great ideas, but just the slightest mistake and you don't exist don't you just love it.

18 Aug and still WAITING for the promised phone call

24 August
So, an update on this debacle, still no phone call, still can't access ADA

Went to place of vaccines Catalkoy old village school as suggested, only to be told go to Belly they deal with it all.
NO they do not....... (:Z)( hadn't got a clue as to what I was talking about, no going to supermarket for food then.

KC wish I'd been a lucky as you at GAU. They don't seem to be able to change us from having kimlik numbers rather than passport nor can they place my third vax on my card, despite the fact I had it there. Am leaving ours on our phones as they are and not having a small card printed off until they are corrected. All very helpful at GAU but not much success.

I have been twice to the state hospital in Girne. They were extremely helpful in obtaining the required information to access the ada system. I went and obtained the passes for 9 individuals. This afternoon I went to Magic touch to obtain credit card size passes and all will be ready first thing tomorrow morning. Cost 40tl each.

Way back in this thread I questioned about supermarkets and Soner indicated that it wasn't required but in truth nobody knows what will happen. It seems to have been implemented in Famagusta, in Karakum Mardo and apparently in the emergency department of many private hospital's resulting in someone being driven around until they could be treated!

Supermarkets were originally omitted from list, only later to be added. Who knows how this will all pan out in the end. I don't think the AdaPass will go as planned within the small tucked away villages. Where I am, it is virtually non existent at the moment.

So, similar to South then. Maybe village shops will get more trade and bigger shops less. Best take a sarnie to work next week then if I need a test to go to Lemar to buy lunch.

Just borrow a pass from a friend 😂

The pass shows you have been vaccinated, that is all. It does not prove you are not carrying the virus and can therefore pass it on ( 1 in 3 people do not show any symptoms of the virus).

I have reservations as to how this pass will really work. I just cannot see the old boys in the coffee shops being asked to produce it. If and when tourists and visitors start to return they currently need proof of vaccination to enter the TRNC. So there will need to be more guidance on this.

At present I think some businesses don’t understand that it’s being trialled first in Lefkosa so they should not be refusing entry. The information is just a little confused and unclear.

But that’s all part of the fun!
